Apollo 11 Omega
via Omega"The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition is powered by OMEGA’s calibre 1861, which shares its lineage with the calibre 321 used in the original Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. The stainless steel case body is delivered with a stainless steel bracelet which has been upgraded to include OMEGA’s patented screw and pin system.
The small seconds counter is a medallion which features an adaptation of Apollo 11’s famous mission patch. The watch’s hour, minute and the red-tipped chronograph seconds hands are coated with Super-LumiNova.
On the dial, the legend 02:56 GMT – the exact time that Neil Armstrong made his “one small step” onto the Moon – is displayed in red. The dial is protected by Hesalite, the same robust, shatter-proof acrylic crystal found on the original Moonwatch. A small, distinctive OMEGA logo has been etched evocatively inside the Hesalite crystal.
The Apollo 11 “Eagle” mission patch is stamped on the caseback along with the words, “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON”, the limited edition number (0000/7969), and “July 21, 1969”, the date Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped onto the moon’s surface."

Stuhrling Centurion
image via WristWatchReview where you'll find a mini review. You can find the official product page here where the following description comes from. Stuhrling on Ebay"The Centurion tank was designed during World War II by the British and has since proven to be the most successful and widely used tank of all time, equipping armies around the world. The Centurion tank design has stood the test of time by any standards, and now Stührling Original presents a new timepiece for all time… the Centurion!
Looking like a tank in its massive 38x44 millimeter case, this Centurion is built like a tank as well. The well-conceived wrist adornment is constructed of only the finest of steel, solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel. The impressive three-piece tank-shaped case with its vertically striped side motif brings to mind the six-wheel design of its famous namesake. Conjuring the imagery of tank-wheels rolling inside of a treadmill-like band is the unique ridged rubber belt wrapped tightly around the steel crown.
On its face, the Centurion is as attractive to look at as it is rugged and masculine to wear. The skeletonized 20-jewel self-winding engine that drives this timepiece not only delivers a precision three-hand mechanical movement, but also doubles as its own dial! With hand-engraved scrollwork on what remains of the front-plates as a backdrop, the individually applied high-tech Arabic numerals appear to be floating as there is no visible dial to hold the distinctive markers! The fancy-shaped angled flange sports luminous one-fifth minute markers while the hour and minute hands are cleverly conceived bullet-styled. The luminous (or color-coordinated) tipped center sweep second-hand sports the signature Stührling “S” on its tail for an added touch of detail.
The Centurion’s ever-so slightly curved case hosts a Krysterna™ crystal on its topside with a curvature to match. The seamless integration of the prodigious 35-millimeter wide heavy silicon rubber strap with the colossal Centurion case is visually impacting with the signature Stührling “S” screws holding it all together! The robust solid steel tang buckle is a perfect complement for the large rubber strap.
The underbelly of this tank is impressive as well. With six screws total to secure the custom silicon strap alone and another four screws holding the case together, the bottom view of the Centurion confirms the tank-like build! Through the Krysterna™ crystal in the stainless steel case-back, there beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour in all its glory is the steadfast Stührling caliber ST-90089 movement. Featuring blued steel screws and a skeletonized and hand-engraved rotor, this tank is just as attractive under the hood as it is from afar.
This tank functions on land and water as the Centurion is water resistant to 50 meters. So, the next time you go out of the house, take a tank with you….the Centurion from Stührling Original!"

TAG Heuer Concept Chronograph
at Basel World 2009"TAG Heuer is unveiling its most advanced timepiece to date: the Monaco Twenty Four Concept Chronograph, a cutting-edge creation inspired by the supercharged race cars of the 24 of Le Mans.
The luxury watch carries an oversize '24'at 12 o'clock and the emblematic blue and orange livery of Gulf Oil - the same colours TAG Heuer Ambassador Steve McQueen wore in his 1970 film classic, Le Mans.
Based on the iconic exterior of Steve McQueen's square-shaped Monaco, the concept watch's unique tubular design and extreme shock-protected components are directly inspired by GT race car technology. An innovative wonder with a unique two-part, see-through dial in an oversized, very contemporary case (40.5mm), the Monaco Twenty Four Concept Chronograph is powered by the superlative TAG Heuer Calibre 36 Movement (beating at the stunning speed of 36,000 beats/hour relentlessly as the engine of a Le Mans prototype running at 350 km/h),visible from the front and through its sapphire crystal caseback. Seriously sleek and high-tech, this daring creation of TAG Heuer's newly expanded R&D department is a triumph of lightness and transparenty, yet it looks like it could go 400 kilometres an hour down the endurance race's fabled Mulsanne Straight."
