Barack's Watch - JORG GRAY 6500 SERIES CHRONOGRAPH

This is actually a cross post from SparkleTrain. I originally put the post up there before I started WATCHMATRIX. I've been meaning to put it up here. The watch has been holding up, but I noticed a little bit of "fog" under the glass if you angle it just right. I'm not sure if it was always there or came about after leaving it on the counter during a shower. Regardless, it's a nice watch and if it's good enough for Obama, it's good enough for me.

"The Story
Since August 2007, President Barack Obama has worn a Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph, which is the same make and model watch offered here by Presidential Watches.

Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph worn by President Obama was given to him as a 46th birthday present by the members of his Secret Service detail. President Obama was the earliest Presidential candidate to be assigned a full Secret Service detail (in May 2007) and his relationship with the members of his security team has been reported to be very close.

President Obama has since been photographed wearing his Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph in multiple television interviews, magazine photographs and media appearances. Historic occasions that President Obama has worn his Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph include:
# Berlin Campaign Speech (July 2008)
# Democratic Nomination Speech (August 2008)
# Presidential Debates (September and October 2008)
# Presidential Election Victory Speech (November 2008)
# Multiple Appearances with New Cabinet Appointees (January 2009)

The Jorg Gray 6500 Chronograph offered exclusively here by Presidential Watches is a Limited Edition version of the same make and model watch worn by President Barack Obama that features a subtle Presidential Star dial. On the case back, the inscription Time for Change and the date 1.20.09 has been engraved to commemorate the historic occasion of the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States."

Note the images on the left and bottom are from onthedash.com and are most likely images of the actual design. If you look at http://www.barackswatch.com/ you will see the star on top is different and the Jorg Gray between 7 and 8 is missing. It looks to be a modified version of the public JGC6500 Chronograph Style watch [on Logomark.com].

Update via the comments [on SparkleTrain]: "The watches sold at www.barackswatch.com are the same make and model as President Obama's watch, the Jorg Gray 6500 Series Black Chronograph with a black Buffalo Leather strap and white contrast stitching. The only difference between the publicly available watch and Barack's is that his features a Secret Service logo (and they do not license consumer goods), whereas the www.barackwatch.com model features a stylized Presidential Star and the inscription "Time for a Change" and "1.20.09" on the case back. We have attempted to be as straightford as possible about these differences, and believe that we are the only public source for the Jorg Gray 6500 Series. Please contact us with any questions at information@barackswatch.com. Sincerely, the Presidential Watches Team."

Update:
I'm seeing the public version available elsewhere on line as well absorbantprinting.com
barackswatch.com was also picked up on Crunch Gear

Update via Bruce the comments: "You can find a Commemorative Edition of this watch, the same make and model as President Obama's at www.JorgGray.com"

Update: image of my watch below. You can see how the seal is different. Click on it for the full size shot.

Again, this is a repost from SparkleTrain. See there for additional comments.
